Karen A. Heidelberg, M.D., FAAD
Karen A. Heidelberg, M.D., FAAD is a board-certified Dermatologist with a strong foundation in clinical excellence and patient-focused care. She received her medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine, and completed her internship in internal medicine at George Washington University Hospital. And while completing her Dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, she received recognition for excellence in patient care.
Once her training was completed in 1997, it was her lifelong professional goal to return to her city and practice alongside her father, Dr. Robert P. Heidelberg. Since then, she has built, her career leading Heidelberg Dermatology as its President.
The Detroit-based practice, founded by her father in 1971, has been committed to delivering exceptional dermatologic care for over 5 decades. Today, Heidelberg Dermatology is nationally recognized for its outstanding patient care and expertise in managing complex dermatologic conditions, thus leading a trusted Dermatology clinic in Detroit.

She’s so wonderful and took very good care of my daughter with her skin and hair issues that has been very traumatizing for her inductor Heidelberg reassured her that everything well be fine As long as he sticks to the routines and regiment, that she set up for my daughter. I would recommend Dr. Heidelberg to everyone she’s kind caring and Listen and can relate to you all your needs. I’m so grateful I was able to get an appointment for my daughter very quickly.

Well, I was waited on right away after entering the door. My first time ever being at Heidelberg Dermatology. I was very impressed with the service I received. Especially, from Dr. Karen Heidelberg who double checked my issue, and knew exactly what was going to be needed. I cooperated with the doctor to the fullest, and the doctor rescheduled me to come back for a procedure that will help find out more about my issue...

This office is very clean & the staff is extremely professional. The wait time is not long at all. Dr. Heidelberg is extremely thorough and addressed all of my issues and diagnosed my condition in language I could understand. She explained what the plan of action for my treatment would be & I left the office feeling satisfied with her treatment plan.
